Security Aspects

ADVISORY FOR MEDIA



1.         Ensure that you have the necessary documents for enter into a place.

 

2.         Always be in possession of your Accreditation Card/Identity card.

 

3.         Please cooperate with security personnel at the entry and inside the Venue.

 

4.         Please restrict to the designated areas.

 

5.         Please abide by the traffic and parking regulations.

 

6.         Please do not attempt to gain access without Accreditation card/ valid pass. Use only the earmarked entry/exit gates.

 

7.         Carry only authorized equipment.

 

8.         Avoid hiring equipment from unauthorized and unidentified sources.

 

9.         Mobiles are not permitted inside the venues. Please deposit them at the entrance.

 

10.       Do not crowd around the VIPs, especially at the time of arrival and departure.

 

11.       Do not seek access to restricted area without approval.

 

12.       Do not report events and procedures which are likely to compromises security.

 

13.       Do not cause inconvenience to any VIPs/official and spectators.

 

14.       In case of any problems, please do contact representative of Security Committee/ Venue/Games village manager.

 

15.       If hiring a vehicle, please check the vehicle documents and police verification of the driver.

 

16.       Ensure timely accreditation through the Media Committee.

 

17.       Do not carry any inflammable material/ explosives into the venues/ games vills.

18.       Be in possession of valid travel documents.

 

19.       Ensure you have obtained security clearance.

 

 

 

 

 

ADVISORY FOR SPECTATORS



1.         Please be in possession of valid entry pass for an event/ to a venue.

 

2.         Please do cooperate with security personnel checking you and your equipment at the entry.

 

3.         Please restrict and sit in the designated areas only.

 

4.         Please abide by the traffic and parking regulations.

 

5.         Please do no attempt to gain access without a valid pass.

 

6.         Hand baggage is not permitted inside a venue. Please abide by it.

 

7.         Do not carry any inflammable material/ explosive into the venues/games vills.

 

8.         Mobiles are not permitted inside the venues. Avoid carrying/ deposit them at the entrance.

 

9.         Do not  touch any suspicious/ unattended equipment/ baggage. Please report the same to the security personnel.

 

10.       In case of any problems, please do contact representative of Security Committee/ Venue/ Games village manager.

 

11.       Please arrive for the events well before time.

DOs AND DONTs FOR PARTICIPANTS AND OFFICIALS



DOs

 

1.         Drive on the left hand side of road.

 

2.         Always overtake form the right hand side of vehicle.

 

3.         Always wear seat belt when seated in a veh.

 

4.         Always keep own weapon and documents in safe custody.

 

5.         Always be properly dressed while visiting religious places. Do not enter any religious place with footwear, remove your shoes/ chappals out side.

 

6.         Always carry the phone number of your team OIC when visiting civil areas.

 

7.         Always inform your team OIC when moving to civil areas.

 

8.         Always approach local police/armd forces personnel in case of any problems.

 

9.         Always carry own water/mineral water when visiting civil areas. Alternatively, you may carry a mineral water bottle.

 

10.       Always carry your identification papers when moving to civil areas.

 

11.       Always seek permission before taking photographs/video.

 

12.       Always carry your accreditation card.

 

13.       Respect the customs and traditions of the local populations.

 

14.       Be respectful to the ladies and elders.

 

 

 

DONTs

 

1.         Do not visit out of bound areas.

 

2.         Do not drive without a valid international driving license.

 

3.         Do not  drive on the right hand side of road.

 

4.         Avoid move in civil areas and display of arms in public.

 

5.         Avoid moving in uniform in civil/ commercial areas.

 

6.         Visit local unit/ formations ion proper authority only.

 

7.         Call on, any officer/ soldier of Indian Armed forces after due approval.

 

8.         Do not use slang while conversing.

 

9.         Do not take photographs in restricted areas/ military installations.

 

10.       Do not consume/ carry liquor /smoke while visiting religious places.

 

11.       Carrying, use and possession of drugs is a criminal offence. Do not use drugs.

 

12.       Do not get into altercation with local people. Take help of police.

 

13.       Do not encourage begging.

 

14.       Do not carry any inflammable material / explosives into the venues/ Games village.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SECURITY RELATED DOs & DONTs FOR THE VISITING TEAM

 


1.         Do not issue any instructions to the security personnel yourself . All instructions/requests may be conveyed through the security manager to avoid confusion.

 

2.         Do not ignore specific advice regarding security matters conveyed to you security agencies.

 

3.         Do not discuss your plans, programme and engagements in public.

 

4.         Do not make last minute changes in scheduled tours and engagements.

 

5.         Do not accept any invitation with out consulting the security agencies as they would have to make appropriate  security arrangements for your individual engagement.

 

6.         Do not accept invitations from persons not known to you personally. Consult security agencies regarding such invitations. Inform security agencies about your programme even if the host is known to you son that they can make security arrangements for you.

 

7.         Inform the security manager in advance, about your individual programmer so that he can arrange an escort for you. Ask for an escort whenever you want to go somewhere.

 

8.         Do not make unscheduled visits to public places like Restaurants, Gardens, Markets and Nightclubs etc. All such outings should be planned well in advance in consultation with Security Manage.

 

9.         Do not pay regular visits to the same place at the same time every day.

 

10.       Take precautions before opening unidentified incoming mail.

 

11.       Do not receive/open any parcel, container, packets etc. personally. In case of any suspicion, security personnel may be consulted immediately

 

12.       Alert the security personnel immediately on receipt of any suspicious message, telephone call, letter etc.

 

13.       In case of any threatening call, intimate the security personnel about the exact words used by the person making the call, the callers sex, approximate age as made out from his/her voice, attitude of the caller, accent , nationality (if it can be made out), background noises and other indicators heard over the phone.

 

14.       Please alert security personnel about any suspicious object or person.

 

15.       Be security conscious all the time. Stick to the security drill laid down by the security manager.
